Float Control Box SAS-1

With the SAS1 switch box you can achieve this very easily, it can be configured to control a two level pumped or gravity fed system with high/low float switches, or to control a single level float switch system. The SAS1 is supplied with easy to follow instructions, the user simply wires in a fused mains supply, the device cable and the float switches. Once the wiring has been completed the box will then allow the user to control loads of up to 8 amps. The float switches are fed using low voltage to keep any mains voltage away from the tank and liquid.

The SAS1 also incorporates another 24v AC supply which is intended for use as an emergency alarm output. A third float switch can be added to sound an alarm or similar warning device (24v) if the tank should over fill.

An example system that would benefit using the SAS1 would be a typical water storage or irrigation system, where the float switches are controlling a pump. The tank would gradually fill with water and once the water level reaches the top float switch the SAS1 would turn the pump on. The pump would empty the tank of water until the water level reaches the low float switch, then the SAS1 would turn the pump off.  The low float switch is mounted above the pump suction point so that the pump does not run dry.

The SAS-1 can be configured for a pump out or a pump in system.

The SAS1 is supplied with full, simple to follow instructions. We would recommend that if you are unsure about any electrical item then do consult a qualified person.  We would also recommend the use of an RCD protective device on the mains power.
