Flow Sensor, Liquid Level Sensors - a building block System of snap and screw together plastic parts that connect to generic liquid level Sensors, flow sensors, temperature sensors, pump controls and relays.
A magnetic float rising and falling in response to liquid level change. This in turn actuates a hermetically sealed magnetic reed switch. This straight forward method of converting motion into an electrical signal is so uncomplicated that many years of reliable service can be expected from our float switches.
Horizontal Float Switches
Our best sellers and most popular switches are the 15-650 and 15-650S. They are made up of two cleverly sculptured injection moulded sections. A housing section containing a sealed-in glass magnetic switch and a float section containing a permanent magnet. The sections are hinged together by an integral clevis mechanism. The float switch moves in response to changes in liquid level, thereby transporting the magnet into proximity of the switch. It is a simple concept, move the float toward the switch housing and it clicks'on', move the float away and it clicks'off'.
Vertical Float Switches
All of the switches in this category are built around the 10-782 float switch. The 10-782 incorporates design enhancements not found in similar products. When you take a close look at these float switches you will find nearly perfect parts and nearly perfect assembly which tells you that quality is built in.
The float switches have a square stem which keeps contact between the float body and stem to a minimum. This is an important feature that allows the float to scoot up and down the stem on knife edges. The float body encounters the lowest possible friction which is an important consideration in any circumstances that could lead to a float sticking.
All of our float switch assemblies have smooth surfaces which make them ideal for the potable water and beverage industries because they are easy to keep clean and free from bacteria.
Typical applications of these switches are: soft drinks dispensers, R0 water dispensers, ice cream machines, food warmers, coffee makers, chemical etching machines, film processors, poultry feeders, copy machines, dish washers, equipment lubricators, fuel tanks......
The series 5 flow switches are based on a common set of parts and principle of operation. Pressure differential across a movable magnetic poppet operates a reed switch moulded into the body of the flow switch.
The flow switches are designed for use in low flow applications (under 3.8 Ltrs/min), they can be used in by-pass lines so flow can be sampled and sensed without impeding flow efficiency. As an "in the flow stream" sensor the flow switches are only limited by the I.D. of their internal port diameter.
Monitoring coolant flow, activating equipment at flow turn on, detecting flow in spray/sprinkler systems are excellent applications for this product.
Series 10-800 temperature switches are low cost, slow response sensor switches useful for OEM applications where the detection of cold or high temperature limits are required. The products can sense temperature from freezing to 90C, in six narrow differential, preset trip points. SPST contacts actuate when the element's case reaches its preset temperature set point.
